Press Cuttings (14)
Hastings Week 2007
The town celebrates the anniversary of the 1066 Battle of Hastings

I joined with a group of fellow writers to exhibit my books and collection of WWII photos in Hastings Priory Meadow Shopping Centre

To mark National Poetry Day, which fell in Hastings Week, I awarded the prizes for a public poetry competiton at a literary evening held at Waterstones Bookshop. Pictured with me is winner and Helenswood School student, Joanna Bowles, aged 15 |

I gave a talk at Hastings Town Hall on World War Crime and Policing.
My guest of honour ( pictured) was Ex-Inpsector Charles Banks, aged
94, well known to my readers for his recollections of the local WWII
police force. To me he is the 'real' Inspector Foyle. To Mr Bank's
right is Mrs Jean Gill who was a junior police clerk during the 1940s |
